About Tricia Greenwood

A Journey of Love, Loss, Music, and Inspiration
Tricia Greenwood was born in upstate New York on a 72-acre family farm in Evangola, near the shores of Lake Erie in Angola, New York.
At age 14, following her parents' divorce, she moved with her mother to San Jose, California. There, the exciting world of music and concerts awakened dreams of becoming a songwriter—dreams that would take many years to fully blossom.
By the age of 18, Tricia had lost both parents. Growing up in a musically gifted family of five children, she discovered that books, music, and creative expression could provide comfort during life's most difficult circumstances.
Through the years, marriage, divorce, and the heartbreaking loss of her only son, Jamie James, Tricia found strength through faith, music, and writing. Rather than allowing sorrow to define her life, she transformed her experiences into songs and stories of love, hope, courage, and spiritual inspiration.
A Lifetime of Music
Tricia began her recording career in 2003 with her debut album, No Fear in Love, followed by In the Spirit of Love, Eclectic Emotions, and Under the Radar.
Her original songs explore the emotional and spiritual dimensions of life, offering encouragement to those experiencing love, loss, grief, and personal transformation.
Throughout her career, Tricia has performed at various venues throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
At the International Christian Visual Media (ICVM) conference in Denver, Colorado, filmmaker Bart Gavigan invited her to perform before his keynote presentation, giving her an opportunity to share her music with more than 200 film industry professionals.
She also performed at the Henderson Pavilion in Henderson, Nevada, for a benefit concert supporting international suicide prevention.
Her musical journey has included award-winning songwriting, collaborations with talented musicians, and the creation of original songs and music videos that celebrate the human spirit.
From Songwriter to Published Author
Tricia's passion for writing eventually expanded beyond song lyrics into books for children and adults.
Through HeartSpeak Music & Publishing, she has created a growing collection of inspirational books, imaginative children's stories, original music, and visual productions.

A special Halloween favorite, Octagooney and the Pumpkin Moon, introduces an adorable eight-armed character who discovers that friendship and sharing are more important than Halloween candy. The story is also available as a colorful picture book and an original song with an entertaining music video.
Through The Kindness Club for Kids, Tricia hopes to inspire a new generation to recognize the light within themselves and understand the power of kindness.

In addition to being an author and songwriter, Tricia is an experienced graphic designer, illustrator, music and video producer, and award-winning professional hair designer with more than four decades of experience in the beauty industry.
Her lifelong interests in psychology, philosophy, spirituality, and the human heart continue to influence her writing and artistic expression.
For Tricia, creativity has never been limited by age or circumstance. Her life's experiences have become the foundation for a growing collection of books, music, and inspirational productions for people of all ages.
Her mission remains simple: to bring light where there is darkness, hope where there is sorrow, and kindness into the hearts of children and adults everywhere.
